Presentation Abstract:

On May 17th, 2022 Banyan Gold updated the inferred mineral resource estimate for the AURMAC property to contain 3,990,000 ‎ounces of gold hosted within three near/on-surface deposits: the Airstrip, Aurex Hill and Powerline Deposits. The AURMAC deposits are country-rock-hosted, intrusion-related gold systems (IRGS) within the Tintina Gold Belt, Yukon.

The AURMAC Property is located within the north – central part of the Selwyn Basin underlain by metaclastic rocks of the Yusezyu Formation of the Late Proterozoic Hyland Group, and the Mississippian Keno Hill Quartzites. These units have been juxtaposed by northeast directed thrusting in the early Cretaceous by the Robert Service Thrust. The stratigraphy on the Property consists of quartzite, and intercalated graphitic phyllites and argillites, lesser limestone, and quartz – sericite schist to the south. All units have been affected by the Tombstone Strain Zone of the underlying non – exposed Robert Service Thrust fault and have been metamorphosed to widespread greenschist facies. Granitic dykes locally occur that probably belong to the Tombstone Suite Intrusives and are of Cretaceous age.

There are three styles of gold mineralization on the AURMAC property: 1) stratabound gold – bearing calc – silicate – pyrrhotite skarns; 2) shallow dipping discordant to foliation gold bearing quartz +/- bismuth sulfosalt +/- arsenopyrite +/- pyrrhotite +/-pyrite +/- antimony sulfosalt veins; and 3) steeply dipping gold bearing Keno Hill style‘ quartz and siderite veins with pyrite, galena, sphalerite that make up the principal economic deposits of the nearby Keno Hill area.

The 2022 Exploration season included +50,000m of diamond drilling from 211 holes. The objective of the drilling program was to grow the Powerline and Aurex Hill deposits with 100m step-outs within the approximately 1.5 km wide and greater than 16 km long geophysically distinctive perspective lithological unit known to contain the shallow dipping discordant to foliation gold bearing quartz veins.
