Presentation Abstract:
Jade Leader Corp – Building a gemstone discovery and production Company from the ground up.
Jade Leader Corp (TSXV:JADE) has now been focused exclusively on targeting nephrite Jade within the mineral exploration space, and is the only publicly listed Company doing so in the world at this time.
The Company has now built a portfolio of 6 US based exploration projects, on all of which nephrite Jade has been identified. Following the first years of the Company’s Journey which were successful in identifying projects with long term gem material production potential, the Company’s current main task is in gaining access to the gem market through designers, fabricators and brands.
The presentation will focus on the dynamics of the Jade market, updates on recent developments in known districts and the Company’s progress in getting recognition for its current and future potential Jade production in an ever-changing general gemstone market landscape.
Presenter Bio:
J.P. Jutras, CEO of Jade Leader Corp.
Mr. Jutras is a professional geologist with over 35 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry.
In the late 1980’s while working in northern British Colombia, Canada, Mr. Jutras had an opportunity to take home some Jade samples form a mine visit. This became the beginning of a parallel avocation to his mineral exploration career now also spanning over 35 years as a student and collector of Jades from all over the world, and growing into a gemstone carver, facetor and metalsmith. It was this parallel path which led Mr. Jutras to be invited to participate in and compete for the first time at the prestigious Chinese Zi Gang Bey Jade and gemstone carving competition in November 2016 (and subsequently in 2017 and 2019), where he received both a silver and then a bronze medal for his competition entries.
While in China, the scale of the changes in the Jade industry became obvious, and a one-month initial research journey to some of the major Jade carving centers and markets in China was undertaken.
This led to the realignment of his path from industrial commodities such as gold, copper, silver and others to a single focus on Jade in North America through Jade Leader Corp (TSXV:JADE). Since then, he has worked on Jade exploration, research and new discoveries leading amongst other thing to 2 published, peer reviewed feature articles in Gem-A’s Journal of Gemmology in 2023 and 2024. The first introduced a Washington nephrite jade exhibiting pleochroism as a phenomenal stone, the second introducing pure primary hydrothermal jades from Wyoming, a new formational model for jade with many implications in today’s world of the gem trade.
