Abstract: Climate change is profoundly affecting seasonality, biological productivity, and hydrology in high northern latitudes. In sensitive subarctic environments exploitation of mineral resources led to contamination and it is not known how cumulative effects of resource extraction and climate warming will impact ecosystems.
Abstract: Silver was first discovered in surficial, bonanza grade veins (up to 18,000 oz/t Ag) more than 100 years ago in Canada’s first great hard rock mining camp, and the subsequent silver boom in Cobalt, Ontario has produced upwards of 500 million oz since 1904.
Abstract: The objective of the presentation is to provide an introduction to Gemstone-Bearing Pegmatites. Pegmatites are produced from the very last remnants of some granitic magmas, and are most commonly recognized by their exceptionally coarse grain size.

Abstract: Exploration of the Scottie Gold Mine Project over the past 6 years has resulted in the discovery of high-grade gold in four new zones (Blueberry Contact Zone, Domino, D-Zone, P-Zone) and the expansion of previously drill confirmed targets (Scottie Gold Mine, C-Zone, Bend Vein, Stockwork). The apparent principal control on all the zones is the proximity with the Jurassic aged, Texas Creek Plutonic suite intrusion on the property.
