Presentation Abstract:

Recent articles suggest that the international Jade market is now larger than the better-known worldwide market for rough diamonds, without any participation in the space by publicly listed Companies prior to the formation of Jade Leader Corp.

Jade Leader Corp, with a Board of Directors having over 120 years of combined experience as mineral exploration geologists with proven track records of discoveries, is led by its President Jean-Pierre Jutras, B.Sc. Hons Geology, P.Geol who is also an internationally recognized Jade carver with over 30 years of experience.

Jade leader is leveraging this unique combination of mineral exploration expertise and Jade carving knowledge to build a portfolio of 6 Jade exploration and production properties on which Nephrite Jade, with various characteristics, have now been identified in stable, mining-friendly jurisdictions in the USA.

From inception roughly 5 years ago, Jade Leader has now conducted two pilot scale production sampling programs at the site of recent discoveries on its lead projects and has begun to generate revenue from sales of rough Jade materials through both direct marketing and an online sales portal at jadeleader.shop.

Jade Leader’s latest discovery and marketing efforts have recently revolved around a fascinating new nephrite Jade type, exhibiting an attractive and distinct multidirectional color shift effect which has not previously been described in the Jade or Gemmology literature.

Presenter Bio:

Jean-Pierre (JP) Jutras, B.Sc Hons geology, P.Geol.
President/Director, Jade Leader Corp.

Mr. Jutras is a professional mineral exploration geologist with over 30 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry. He has worked in over 15 countries on four continents, with numerous public companies including Placer Dome, Prism Resources, Golden Star Resources, Tyler Resources Inc. and now, Jade Leader Corp.

In the late 1980’s while working in Northern British Colombia, Canada, Mr. Jutras had an opportunity to take some jade samples home from a mine visit. This became the beginning of a parallel avocation to his mineral exploration career now spanning over 30 years as a student and collector of jades from all over the world, gemstone carver, faceter and metalsmith. It was this parallel path which led to Mr. Jutras being invited to participate and compete numerous times as an International carver at the prestigious Zi Gang Bei Jade and Gemstone carving exhibition, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, where by now he has received both silver and bronze medals for his competition entries. He has recently been a guest speaker on Jade at both the Canadian Gemmological Association (CGA) and the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA).

While competing in China, the scale of recent changes in the Jade industry became obvious, and a one month initial research journey to some of the major Jade carving centers and markets in China was undertaken. This led to the creation of Jade Leader Corp. as it entered the International Jade space and began taking steps to establish itself as a leader in Jade exploration and production.
