  • The wide-ranging geology of major mineral prospects held by Romios Gold

Romios Gold Resources Inc. is actively exploring two major properties covering a broad range of mineral deposit types:

    • 1) its Newmont Lake-JW-Trek skarn-manto-porphyry copper prospects in BC’s Golden Triangle, and
    • 2) the Lundmark-Akow Lake Cu-Au-Ag-(Co) VMS project in NW Ontario.

The Trek Cu-(Au) alkalic porphyry is ~3 km from the proposed mill site for Teck-Newmont’s Galore Creek project and has been only partially drilled off. It remains open down-dip and along strike. The >1 km wide JW porphyry prospect is located ~6 km from the Galore Creek deposits. It exhibits classic porphyry copper alteration assemblages and is largely untested. The recently renewed development activity at Galore Creek should greatly benefit the economics of these 2 nearby prospects. The Newmont Lake project includes the gold-rich North West Zone manto-skarn deposit (1.4 Mt @ 4.4 g/t Au, 0.22% Cu, and 6.4 g/t Ag), as well as a mineralized skarn >500 m across thought to overly a buried porphyry system. Newmont Lake is now under option to Crystal Lake Mining who plan to spend > $4 million on drilling and other exploration in 2019. The Lundmark-Akow Lake VMS horizon in Ontario was discovered in a single drill hole by Romios in 2017 after a re-evaluation of the local geology and past drilling. This high-grade occurrence (2.35% Cu, 68 g/t Ag, 1.4 g/t Au) is associated with a “lower alteration zone” >3 km long and is unusual due to the abundance of tourmalinite both in the alteration zone and the mineralized exhalative horizon. Romios has now assembled a land package covering 8-9 km of conductors extending out from the discovery hole and plans to drill these in the summer of 2019.

John Biczok, P.Geo., is a geologist with 40 years of experience exploring for a wide variety of mineral deposits from northwestern Ontario to the Yukon and the Arctic. For 5 years he managed Phelps Dodge’s exploration program in India followed by 12 years as senior geologist and research co-ordinator at Goldcorp’s Musselwhite mine in NW Ontario. He joined Romios in 2016 and is currently their VP of Exploration.

Calgary MEG Luncheon April 5 – Romios Gold

  • Copper North Mining Corp. (TSX.V:COL) is a Canadian mining exploration and development company, spun out from Western Copper Corporation (TSX:WRN) in October 2011. Copper North's key asset is the Carmacks Copper Project, located in the Yukon Territory, Canada. Carmacks is permitted for construction and will produce 30 million pounds of cathode copper per year. The project is being re-engineered as a copper-gold-silver leach operation. A Preliminary Economic Assessment was completed in May 2014 and indicates that the addition of gold and silver recovery provides a positive improvement in project economics. A second phase of engineering work is in progress to evaluate opportunities to further improve operations and reduce capital and operating costs. The company resumed exploration in 2014 and 2015 leading to a substantial increase in oxide and sulphide resources, with the potential to extend mine life. Special guest speakers before the presentation: Mickey Fulp, "The Mercenary Geologist" and John E. Gross, President of J.E. Gross & Co. a metals management and consultancy firm. This event is brought to you by New York-based O&M Partners. We are a marketing and communications focused on the natural resource sector.
